You're Needed For An Accessible Vancouver

BC Disability

May 7th, 2023

The City of Vancouver is holding consultations for phase 2 of its accessibility strategy. The consultations will focus on 8 different areas of accessibility, with one of the goals being to address any gaps remaining after the first round of consultations were held last year.

Consultation Dates

  • Friday June 2nd, 4-7pm, Vancouver Public Library Downtown

  • Friday June 16th, 1-4pm, Creekside Community Centre

  • Online consultation, TBA

You may attend as many or as few sessions as you'd like, and you can also register as a participant or a volunteer.

If you need childcare covered in order to attend, a stipend with be offered to help with costs. There will also be quiet rooms at each location, to ensure people have a place to recoup if they're overwhelmed during the event.

If you'd like to register or learn more, please email the City of Vancouver's Accessibility Planner, Karen Lai, at karen.lai@vancouver.ca.
